Checking fuel filter and spark plugs of 2002 ford mustang or what it would cost to get someone to do it?
Car just started idling, running funny. With just a slight jerky feeling when you drive it/accelerate. It’s still resonably subtle but getting progressively worse. Started out of nowhere and we thought we had a bad tank of gas but we were already half way through the tank, so maybe the fuel filter, spark plugs or something like that. I know with simpler fixes like those you can often check it yourself. I don’t know too much about cars but have looked up things online before, vids and what not and done a few things here and there but I can’t seem to find exactly where the spark plugs would be located to check on, and how on earth you do the change of the oil filter. Instructions on how-to’s would be great, or if it’s too much for me to do on my own, what would it run at a shop to get those things checked/potentially fixed. And do you think that one of these things is indeed the problem to cause my car to run poorly?
You could probably go to an auto parts store and ask where everything is located or just buy a repair manual for that car for $25. But seriously, if you can’t find these items, they will be pretty difficult to remove and install so just take it in. Total cost would probably run you around $100.
Yes, these items could be the cause of your problems and you should probably replace the air filter as well.
